Shashank Shukla of Bahrain celebrates the wicket of Mohamed Kaif of Saudi Arabia during the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup 2023 Group A match between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia held at the Bayuemas Oval, Kuala lumpur, Malaysia on the 12th October 2023.
Bahrain’s first match in the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup was against Saudi Arabia. Bahrain bowled first and Saudi Arabia scored 225-10 in 46.3 overs. In their turn, Bahrain scored 158-10. Saudi won by 67 runs.
A special mention for young bowler Shashank Shekar Shukla who took a five-wicket haul. In his 10 overs, he had one maiden, took five wickets and gave away only 29 runs.
In batting Sai was the only bright spot, he scored 42 runs in 66 balls with 4 fours.
